Welcome to the Collegiate Recovery Program

CRP End of Year Celebration 2025

The Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP) within the Bruin Resource Center supports UCLA students who are in or interested in recovery, or impacted by substance use disorders and addictive behaviors through campus advocacy, education, academic assistance, and sober social events.

We're excited to kickstart the CRP program at UCLA to foster a thriving recovery community. We’re pleased to introduce our Assistant Program Director, Patil, who brings valuable experience and a passion for supporting students in recovery. With new 2025-2026 academic year, we’ll continue to grow by having program meetings, collaborating with campus partners like HEART and RISE, and hosting events and workshops tailored for you. Visit the CRP Recovery Lounge in SAC B44B to meet Patil and connect about the program.

Bruins for Recovery (B4R)

Bruins for Recovery (B4R) is a student group that organizes on-campus recovery meetings, sober hangouts, and safe and supportive environments. Bruins for Recovery is dedicated to supporting students recovering from addictive behaviors, and their allies, family, and friends.

Visit B4R's website for more information!

B4R's Website

CRP and B4R are for students who...

  • Are in long-term recovery from alcohol, drugs, or behavioral addictions
  • Use alcohol or drugs but might want to stop
  • Use harm reduction with an outside medical provider or therapist
  • Are curious about starting the process of recovery / sobriety / abstinence
  • Have friends or family members who struggle with or are in long-term recovery from alcohol, drugs, or behavioral addictions

What is the difference?

While CRP provides institutional support for students in or interested in recovery from addiction, B4R provides peer support.

Land Acknowledgment

The Collegiate Recovery Program at UCLA acknowledges the Gabrielino/Tongva peoples as the traditional land caretakers of Tovaangar (the Los Angeles basin and So. Channel Islands). As a land grant institution, we pay our respects to the Honuukvetam (Ancestors),' Ahiihirom (Elders), and 'Eyoohiinkem (our relatives/relations) past, present, and emerging.
